Allie Rae's favorite

baby food is now Apples and Blueberries. I thought I would let y'all know this because I now have it all over my shirt, on the floor, and her cute little self..........yay.

I really need to get this blogging thing under control. I love reading and searching other people's blogs but haven't found what I need to write my own and make it not.. well, LAME!

After this post I'm gonna do my best to add more UMPH to my blogs by actually adding some pictures and by trying not to bore y'all to sleep. (Ally if you are still have your insomnia problems, read my blog haha) I crack myself up.

Anyways, today has been a very chill day. I enjoy days like these oh so much. I woke up around 9 (got to sleep in, woooot!), got my favorite baby Allie from Nisha, then saw her and Andrew off for their day of errands and appointments. I laid Allie down for her nap and made myself breakfast around 12, an egg and cheese burrito, an apple, and some orange juice (apparently I suck at keeping my Lent deal with God when orange juice is involved), then vacuumed the house, called and made my appointment to get my hair cut!!!!! eeeek I'm nervous, and now I'm blogging while Al plays. Not a very exciting day, but that is just fine with me. Now I'm going to go get ready for my hair apt.

Hope everyone has/had a good Monday! :)

Hola!

I was going to do a really long catch-up blog covering Spring Break festivities and everything I've done since then.. But suddenly the phone rang and Nisha wanted to know if I wanted to go meet my fake family at Los Torascos for lunch. Sorry guys, bye! :)

PS: at least I KNOW I'm the worst blogger ever haha.

Thanks to Ally,

I thought that I had brain cancer yesterday/last night. I had the worst headache in the entire world. When my mom called to randomly check on me I was pitiful as could be, telling her all about how I felt awful and that my head was going to explode. When I told her I had brain cancer she assured me that wasn't the case and told me to press on my forehead and under my eyes then proceeded to ask me if it hurt. It surely did and she told me it was my sinuses. Well, sinuses.. YOU SUCK! Justin text me and said they were watching a movie at the dhouse and I usually do whatever I can to get out of the house at night because I'm here all day, but I felt too crappy to even get out of bed. Andrew and I ran errands yesterday from about 12 to 2 and when we got back, I took a nap because I was feeling so awful and I didn't wake up until Andrew was beating on my door (sooooo nicely....NOT) to wake me up for dinner at 7. I'm pretty sure if he wouldn't have woken me up, I would have slept through the night. The good thing about him waking me up for dinner, that I didn't even want to eat (which is RARE!), is that I was up to watch The Buried Life and My Life as Liz! After the shows I was about to pass out......so i did.

I woke up this morning feeling like death, yet again. But today it was different, my tummy was feeling funny. I ate a biscuit for breakfast around 10:30 and then an apple about 30 minutes ago. Other than that, I don't really want to eat anything else. I hope it's all connected to my sinuses being weird still, because I cannot be getting the flu! Tomorrow is my first day working at Noah's Ark Preschool where I'll be working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week.. Then just Wednesdays and Thursdays the rest of the time. I hope I don't still feel bad, cause either way I'm going to work and I don't really want to feel like this surrounded by a million 3 and 4 year olds.

Hope everyone's week is going better than mine and pray that I feel better for my new job! Off to nap for a bit while Allie Rae is too! (Ohhhh the life of a teenage mom haha)

Do you know what these X's stand for?!

Yesterday was a pretty sweet day. Woke up feelin' like P. Diddy, watched Allie Rae for a bit, took Andrew to his tennis lesson at the University, went to Target for an hour to waste time, took Andrew home from his lesson, and turned right back around to go to Plato's Closet with Sarah and Leah!

Plato's Closet was crazy full of clothes and other items. I'd never been in there before, so I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't find a whole lot but I just don't think I was in the shopping mood. I bought a shirt, a little jacket/sweater thingy, and a Vera Bradley make-up bag. I found a dress that I really wanted for Wesley Formal but my tatas just weren't having it :( Story of my life! Sarah and Leah tried on lots of stuff. Leah got a sweet zip-up by some mystery brand that we've never heard of, but it has a freakin' elephant on it and it is veryyy slimming on her! Yay. Sarah got a few pairs of shorts, a couple skirts, a one of those long sweaters (thanks to me!), a pair of shoes and I don't remember what else! But she claims to have needed them all so I think it was a very successful trip in all.

I went home after Plato's Closet to get some clothes to go to Brown's Corner with Leah and friends and then headed to Leah's to go eat dinner at Ichiban then get ready. We chilled and waited for Ellyn to get ready then went and ate some boss sushi! When we got back we started getting ready and she experimented with her teasing skills and "big hair" idea on my hair, but it didn't go over so well because I have SO much hair. It was a fun attempt though. We left Leah's, went to pick up Alexa and Sarah then made our way downtown. It was a lot of fun, even when we encountered the douchebag of all douches ;), and my tall glass of water did me right.

After many song requests denied, played and interrupted (our poor MMM, Bop!), and even some played all the way through by the old piano playing pervs, we were tired and ready for some... Taco Bell on Alexa? I'm thinking yes. After spending 15 minutes in the drive-thru line and 5 minutes trying to think of the name of the taco Alexa gets, we ordered, paid, dropped Sarah and our new recruit/Sarah's roommate, Janie, off at Campus Way, and went to Alexa's apartment to eat our Taco Hell! It was pretty great :) I took Leah home then proceeded to make my usual 20 minute commute back home to BFE and had a wonderful night's sleep!

Hope everyone's Friday night was as successful and fun as mine :) Have a great rest of the weekend, too!

It's Still Rock and Roll to Me

Today, my TOMS finally came....again! After getting them and my fat foot not being able to fit in them, sending them back, ordering a new pair, watching the UPS guy go up and down my road for a week and a half, they finally came and fit wonderfully! They gave me a small blister after wearing them to run errands and to common meal tonight but I probably just have to break them in like my Sperry's. No biggie. I'm still really excited about them. They were a superb Valentine's Day present <3 Thanks, Mom!

After getting my TOMS my day stayed on the right track. I didn't have to stay at home with Allie all day and when I was home with her, we played outside because of the BEAUTIFUL weather we had today here in T-town. I ran some errands consisting of going to Deja Vu, a pretty nice consignment shop on 15th, TJ Maxx, and Publix.
At Deja Vu I was taking some baby clothes of Allie's to be consigned along with some polos that Daren, Nisha's hubby, doesn't wear anymore.. The lady that checked me in was nice but, she just seemed so snooty that it was enough to make me feel very uncomfortable. But after she took what they were going to take, I did a little looking around for myself and found a shirt that I liked that was only $4 and get this, a pair of Wallabees that looked like they've been owned maybe a month, for $30! Now, with my budget, $30 is still a pretty big amount to spend in one place haha, but I've been wanting a pair since I haven't had my old ones for a long while, and to buy them new they are almost $100. I was pretty pleased with my find and after getting paid for the first time at my St. Marks job, I thought it was a good splurge.
TJ Maxx was a bust, but then again.. after I "splurged" on my Wallabees I didn't really look too hard. I found a purse that I liked, but I have so many bags it would have been more than a waste.
Last but not least, Publix was just publix. Although I did learn something new/freaking awesome while I was there.. An older lady was in front of me walking to get a cart and before she got her cart, on the side of where you get the carts there are little disinfectant wipes to wipe down the handle of your cart before you use it! I was like, "Wow, that is so cool!" and she got one for me and proceeded to tell me that they are one of the first supermarkets that started doing it and she hopes that it will set a trend because it really does help with all the "ickies" going around all the time. She said "ickies" :) Definitely a sweet ol' grandma haha.
After all that errands business, I went to common meal, watched The Office (Pam and Jim had their baby!!!!) then Project Runway in the TV room at Wesley with some fun kids, then went to Elina's to pick out some stuff for her to wear this weekend. All in all, it was a great Thursday to lead into a great Friday! Now I'm off to sleep, with some sweet serenades going down by my favorite Billy Joel :) G'night!
P.S. I applied at UA today and even though I'm excited about it.. I'm really trying not to think about it/talk about it lots because I honestly don't think it's likely for me to get in this Fall and I'm trying not to get my hopes up crazy high, even though the admissions counselor thinks differently. I guess we'll just have to see. Say a prayer or two for me about it!

Numero Uno

I've been sititng here for the past 30 minutes on this then on facebook trying to decide what to write about in my first post ever. I really think I might be making a bigger deal about this than I should be. So, instead of wasting more time than I already have trying to think of something clever to write about or the name of my post, I'm just gonna tell y'all what I did today and do what I intend to do with my upcoming blogs and keep you updated on what my life consists of and things I find interesting.

Today was a glorious day in the life of me, because I got to sleep in! I am currently a live-in nanny to some old family friends of mine and I watch their 9 month old baby girl Allie Rae. I usually have to get up with her around 8ish to play or give her a bottle, but today she had a doctors appointment and I got to sleep till 10:30. That right there, let me tell you.. was amazing! I woke up, ate some breakfast, and waited for Allie and her mom, Nisha, to get back from her appointment. It was just a check-up but the doctor said that her iron was low and she needs to eat more real food instead of bottles. So, we'll be working on that.

Nisha and her oldest kid, Andrew, went to read to her middle child (don't worry there are only 3 of them), Mary Ashley's class. Now Allie Rae and I are hanging out watching Wall-e. It's really more like I'm sitting here watching it and doing this while she plays on the floor in front of me. She gets so into her toys sometimes that there isn't much playing with her that I can do besides make sure she doesn't put anything in her mouth that's gonna hurt or choke her.

Other than my Warbington (that's the family I live with) life, I don't do a lot other than hang out with Wesley/old Huntsville friends, and work at St. Mark's in the daycare on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. It's a pretty chill life and I'm enjoying it quite thoroughly. I think I'll be enjoying it a lot more when I'm back in school. Although, I am liking my time off pretty well. Speaking of school, hooray for Lauren and Alicia (and Ally, even if I don't know her as well!) finishing and passing their last HESI! It makes me quite sad that Alicia is in Huntsville doing her preceptorship, but I know she's going to do great and that's where she wants to be. So, yay her! Lauren is doing her preceptorship here at DCH and I thought that it wasn't going to be that bad because I mean, she still lives here.. but her hours are killer and then last night I was hanging out at the dhouse and I asked Justin where she was and he said, very sad faced, "at the hospital." :( I made a joke saying, "Oh man what happened?!" But, go figure.. nobody else thought it was funny haha. Anyways, point is.. they're all grown up and one step closer to their dream job. Yes, I'm very happy and proud but I miss them already! Makes me anxious to get going at Alabama and get my freaking degree. Yay only a million more years, right?

Hate to end it on such a pessimistic note, so let me say this: HAPPY HUMP DAY :) and hope everyone has a great day/night!
